IT Support and Managed IT Services for Canadian Businesses

NetFusion Designs is a Canadian IT services company. We look after the day-to-day IT support your staff rely on and the longer-term managed IT services that keep the business running behind them — helpdesk, monitoring, cybersecurity, cloud, backup and IT strategy, delivered by engineers based in Ontario and Quebec. Whether you have no internal IT at all or a small team that needs backup, we take on as much as you want us to hold.

When it is time to change IT provider

Most companies do not go looking for a new IT company because of one bad day. They go looking because the same problems keep coming back.

You have probably recognised at least one of these:

Tickets get closed, but the underlying fault returns a fortnight later
Nobody can tell you what is actually on your network, or who has access to what
Your provider is reactive — you hear from them when something breaks, and not otherwise
Security and backup have been quietly deferred for years
You are locked into a long contract with a provider who has outgrown you, or you have outgrown them
Nobody owns your IT roadmap, so every purchase is a one-off decision

Any IT management service provider can log a ticket. The difference shows in whether problems stop coming back, whether somebody is looking at your environment when nothing is on fire, and whether you get a straight answer about what needs to be spent and why.

That is the standard we work to. We fix the immediate issue, then deal with the cause, and we tell you what we found.

Managed IT services

Managed IT services means we take ongoing responsibility for your technology for a predictable monthly fee, rather than billing you by the hour each time something goes wrong. Your systems are monitored, patched, backed up and secured on a schedule, and your staff have somewhere to call when they need help.

A typical managed services agreement with us covers:

Helpdesk and end-user support

Your staff contact us directly by phone, email or portal. We handle the everyday work — logins, email, printers, laptops, software faults, new-starter and leaver setup — and escalate to senior engineers when an issue needs them. Support is available around the clock.

Monitoring and maintenance

We monitor servers, workstations, network equipment and cloud services continuously, and act on faults, capacity problems and failed jobs as they surface. Patching and updates run to a schedule rather than whenever somebody remembers.

Cybersecurity

Endpoint protection, email security and filtering, multi-factor authentication, access reviews, patch management, security awareness training for staff, and penetration testing where your risk profile or your clients call for it.

Cloud and Microsoft 365

Migration, licensing, tenant configuration, SharePoint and Teams structure, and ongoing administration. Most organizations are paying for more of Microsoft 365 than they use; we make the parts you already own actually work.

Backup and disaster recovery

Backups for servers, endpoints and cloud data, monitored and tested — including Microsoft 365, which is not backed up by Microsoft on your behalf. We document what gets restored, in what order, and how long it takes.

Virtual CIO and IT strategy

A senior technical contact who knows your business, reviews your environment with you on a regular cycle, plans renewals and refreshes before they become emergencies, and gives you a budget you can plan against.

Infrastructure, networks and telephony

Server and network design and installation, firewalls and Wi-Fi, VoIP telephony, structured cabling and security cameras, and office moves and fit-outs.

IT support on its own, without a full agreement

Not every business is ready to hand over everything at once, and some do not need to.

If you have an internal IT person or a small team, we work alongside them — taking the helpdesk load so they can get to project work, providing senior engineering they cannot justify hiring for, or covering holidays and departures. If you have a specific project — a migration, a security clean-up, an office move, a hardware refresh — we scope and deliver it as a project.

Several of our long-standing managed services clients started with a single project. That is a reasonable way to find out how an IT company works before signing anything longer.

Looking for IT support near me? Our local teams

Remote support handles most issues faster than a site visit. But there are jobs that need somebody physically present — a failed switch, a cabling run, a new office, a server that will not come back up — and there is real value in an engineer who knows your building.

We have people across Ontario and Quebec, so support is local, in your timezone, and on site when it needs to be.

IT support in Toronto

401 Bay St, 16th Floor, Toronto, ON

Our Toronto office is on Bay Street in the financial district, and downtown Toronto is where the largest share of our client base sits — professional services, finance, legal, non-profit and creative firms. We cover the core, the surrounding boroughs and the wider GTA, and we are used to the practical realities of downtown work: shared building infrastructure, landlord-controlled risers, service lifts and after-hours access for anything that would disrupt a working day.

IT support in Markham

141 Main Street N, Markham, ON L3P 1Y2

Our Markham office on Main Street North serves York Region, including Richmond Hill, Vaughan, Aurora and Newmarket. The mix here leans towards technology, manufacturing and distribution businesses, which tend to bring server rooms, line-of-business applications and warehouse or shop-floor connectivity rather than a purely cloud-based setup.

IT support in Mississauga and Brampton

6700 Century Ave, 3rd Floor, Mississauga, ON L5N 1V8

Our Peel Region office is on Century Avenue in Mississauga, covering Mississauga, Brampton, Oakville and the airport corporate corridor. Logistics, manufacturing, healthcare and professional services are well represented, and multi-site and warehouse connectivity comes up often.

IT support in Kitchener and Waterloo

22 Frederick St, Suite 700, Kitchener, ON

We support businesses across the Tri-City Area — Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge and Guelph. Technology and manufacturing firms here often have a strong internal technical culture and want a provider who will work with their people rather than around them.

IT support in Durham Region

1315 Pickering Parkway, Pickering, ON L1V 7G5

Our Pickering office on Pickering Parkway covers Durham Region, including Ajax, Whitby and Oshawa, and the eastern edge of the GTA — an area that is often awkward to reach from a downtown-only provider.

IT support in Montreal

8815 Av du Parc #402, Montréal, QC H2N 1Y7

Our Montreal office on Avenue du Parc supports businesses across greater Montreal and Quebec, with bilingual support for staff who would rather raise a ticket in French.

We also have offices in Winnipeg and in the United States, and we support remote and hybrid staff wherever they work.

The switch, in four steps

Nobody changes IT provider because they enjoy it.

So here is the whole sequence before you commit to anything. Each step below is explained in full underneath.

01
Assessment

We review what you already have — hardware, licences, network, backups, security posture — before anything is agreed.

02
Proposal and scope

Exactly what is covered, what is not, and what it costs each month. Put in writing, so the first invoice holds no surprises.

03
Onboarding

We document the environment, deploy monitoring and security tooling, take over administrative access, and clear the immediate risks.

04
Ongoing support and review

One place for your staff to raise issues, a named contact who knows your setup, and regular review of tickets, risks and spend.

How we take over your IT

Changing IT provider is the part most businesses dread. Here is how it actually runs.

1

Assessment

Before anything is agreed, we review what you have — hardware, software, licences, network, backups, security posture and current contracts. You get a written picture of your environment, including anything we think is a risk, whether or not you go on to work with us.

2

Proposal and scope

We set out exactly what is covered, what is not, what it costs each month, and what stays chargeable as a project. No surprise line items and no bundled services you did not ask for.

3

Onboarding

We document the environment properly, deploy our monitoring and security tooling, take over administrative access, and put the immediate risks right. We coordinate the handover with your outgoing provider so nothing is lost in the gap.

4

Ongoing support and review

Your staff get a single place to raise issues. You get a named contact, regular reviews of tickets, risks and spend, and a roadmap that gets updated rather than written once.

Why businesses choose NetFusion Designs

Engineers, not a call queue

Your staff talk to people who know your environment. Escalation goes to senior engineers who have context on your setup, not to a script.

Security built into the standard service

Endpoint protection, MFA, patching, backup and monitoring are part of the managed services agreement, not upsells to be argued about later. We hold a SOC 2 Type 2 attestation, and we maintain the internal processes and controls that keep client data secure and confidential — which matters if your own clients audit their supply chain.

Predictable cost

A flat monthly fee for covered services, with project work quoted separately and in advance. Consolidating helpdesk, security, backup and strategy under one agreement is usually cheaper than buying them piecemeal, and considerably easier to budget for.

Local teams, one accountable provider

Offices across Ontario and Quebec, and one company accountable for the whole estate — support, security, cloud, telephony and infrastructure — rather than several vendors pointing at each other.

Businesses of every size

We support organizations from a handful of staff to several hundred, across professional services, manufacturing, logistics, healthcare, finance and the non-profit sector. The service scales; the people you deal with do not change every quarter.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between IT support and managed IT services?

IT support is reactive: something breaks, you call, it gets fixed, usually billed by the hour. Managed IT services is an ongoing arrangement for a fixed monthly fee that includes support but also the preventative work — monitoring, patching, backup, security and planning — that stops problems from happening. Most of our clients start with support in mind and move to managed services once they see how much of their downtime was avoidable.

What does a managed service provider actually do?

A managed service provider takes ongoing responsibility for a client's IT. In practice that means running the helpdesk, monitoring and maintaining systems, managing security and backups, administering cloud services and licences, and advising on what to spend and when. You get the function of an internal IT department without recruiting and retaining one.

Do you offer IT support near me?

If you are in Toronto, Markham, Mississauga, Brampton, Kitchener, Waterloo, Durham Region or Montreal, yes — we have teams in those areas and can attend on site. If you are elsewhere in Ontario or Quebec, get in touch; we support remote and multi-site businesses across both provinces and can usually arrange on-site coverage.

How much do managed IT services cost?

Pricing is normally per user per month, and depends on how many staff you have, how many sites and servers, what is already in place, and how much security and compliance work you need. We quote after the assessment, so the figure is based on your actual environment rather than an average. You will see what is included and what is chargeable before you commit.

Can you work with our existing IT person or team?

Yes. Co-managed IT is a common arrangement. We typically take the ticket volume, monitoring, security tooling and out-of-hours cover, which frees your internal person for the projects and business knowledge only they can handle.

How long does it take to switch providers?

Onboarding usually runs two to four weeks from signing, depending on the size and state of the environment and how cooperative the outgoing provider is. Support starts on day one — the documentation, tooling deployment and remediation work continues in parallel.

Are you a Canadian company?

Yes. NetFusion Designs is Canadian, with offices across Ontario, Quebec and Manitoba, and additional offices in the United States. Client data handling and support delivery are governed by the controls covered in our SOC 2 Type 2 attestation.
