You shouldn't, and if a provider's arrangement means you do, that's a reason to walk. Your domains, licences, and data stay in your name. Decisions and budget stay with you. We're accountable for delivery, not ownership.
You get the documentation, the credentials, and a clean handover. We'd rather you stayed because leaving would be a downgrade than because it would be painful — a contract is a poor substitute for doing good work.
